Patrocinio P. Schweickart, Professor of English and Women's Studies, is widely published in the area of feminist theory, as well as feminist literary criticism. She is co-editor, with Elizabeth A. Flynn, of
Gender and Reading: Essays on Readers, Texts, and Contexts (1986). Her publications include
Reading Ourselves: Toward a Feminist Theory of Reading;
Engendering Critical Discourse (1987);
Reading, Teaching, and the Ethic of Care (1990); and
What Are We Doing? What Do We Want? Who Are We? Comprehending the Subject of Feminism (1995). She was editor of
NWSA Journal from 1990-1997. She is currently working with Elizabeth Flynn on a volume of essays,
Reading Sites: Gender, Race, Class, Ethnicity, Sexual Orientation.
