Research Participation System: Information For Researchers
The School of Communication is now using the Research Participation System to schedule and credit students' participation in communication research studies. As a researcher, you can set up your studies in the system, schedule the sessions (i.e.timeslots and location) when students may participate in your study, and grant or revoke credit after students complete your study. The Research Participation System provides students with an easy online method for them to sign up for research studies, to keep track of the studies they have completed, and to view how many credits they have earned for each study. Information included in many course syllabi recruits students to consider participating in studies using the Research Participation System.
If you choose to use the Research Participation System for your studies, the following language may be helpful when submitting an IRB application:
All participants will be recruited using the School of Communication's Online Research Participation System. The posting will be titled [insert title here] and will read [insert information here]. Participation is open to anyone at least 18 years old and is completely voluntary.
