John Hultman, B.S., returned to work after four years
of retirement from CBS-WBBM-AM News Radio in Chicago. He now anchors midday
and afternoon news.
1960
Joey Cole Kubesch, B.A., was recently featured in Successful
Farming magazine for taking the Barn Again restoration honors.
Larry Samovar, M.S., Ph.D, has three new textbook editions:
“Intercultural Communication: A Reader,” 10th edition, Wadsworth
Publishing; “Communication Between Cultures,” 5th edition,
Wadsworth Publishing; and “Oral Communication: Speaking Across Cultures,”
11th edition, Roxbury Press.
R. Wayne Pach, Ph.D., celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary
with his wife, Gae, in March.
1976
Paula
Dwyer, B.A., co-authored a book with former Securities &
Exchange Commission Chairman Arthur Levitt, titled “Take on the
Street,” published by Random House. Dwyer is the deputy bureau chief
of the Washington bureau of Businessweek.
Kathleen J. Turner, M.A., Ph.D., is the first Annabel
Hagood Visiting Assistant Professor of Communication at the University
of Alabama.
1978
Bill Kelly, B.A., recently traveled to Cuba to tape news
stories and a documentary for Nebraska’s public broadcasting service,
NETV. Kelly is the state network’s executive producer for news.
1981
James Honeycutt, M.S., a professor of Communication at
Louisiana State University, has a new book on mental imagery and message
planning titled, “Imagined Interactions: Daydreaming About Communication,”
published by Hampton Press. His first book, “Cognition, Communication
and Romantic Relationships,” was published in 2001 by Lawrence Erlbaum
Associates.
1983
Betsy Wiersma, B.A., had published a second edition of
her textbook for the special events industry, “Exceptional Events:
Concept to Completion.”
1984
Jay Fehnel, B.A., promoted to vice president of business
development at the Tribune Media Services in Chicago.

Theresa Catterson Kraft, B.A., co-owner and president of
Eastgate and Westgate Chrysler Jeep, was named one of the “Forty under
40” top business leaders by Indianapolis Business Journal.

David Loundy, B.A., had a case book titled “Computer
Crime, Information Warfare & Economic Espionage” published by
Carolina Academic Press.
1991
Nicole Kucharski Duncan, B.A., oversees community outreach
efforts, marketing media, community sponsorships and the cheerleading
program for the Indianapolis Colts.
1992
Amy
Hertz Stoehr, B.A., is chief operating officer of STAR
POWER Systems, one of the nation’s top real estate professionals
training and motivational organizations.
Matt McMahon, B.A., and Tracy Kissel McMahon,
B.A. 1993, had a baby girl, Alyssa Marie, on Feb. 20.
1993
Rob Spalding, M.A., recently joined Washington Mutual
in Seattle as a project manager in their HR Solutions group. He and his
wife also are opening their own winery this year, “Seia Wine Cellars.”
1995
Stephanie Smith, B.A., has joined the law firm of Warner
Norcross & Judd LLP in its Holland, Mich., office. Smith graduated
from The Michael E. Moritz College of Law at The Ohio State University
in 2002.
Michael DeSanto, B.A., was promoted to senior director
of marketing communications for Walker Information, an Indianapolis-based
stakeholder measurement firm.
1997
Janet Argentin, B.A., works at Waggener Edstrom in Bellevue,
Wash., with Microsoft’s Platform Strategy Group.
2000
Liz Graves, B.A., sells lab services for Follas Laboratories
Inc. in Indianapolis.
Megan Winger, B.A., works at the Lafayette law firm of
Gambs, Mucker & Bauman. Her daughter, Kennady, turned 3 on March 22. |
