1958
John Hultman, B.S., received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Chicago Headline Club (local chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists) in the Fall of 2007. He was an anchor at Newsradio 780/WBBM-AM-CBS Chicago for 30 years before retiring in 1998 and is now working in the same capacity part time. He became a member of SPJ (then Sigma Delta Chi) at Purdue in 1956.

1960
R. Wayne Pace, Ph.D., had his left hip replaced, and has just about recovered, having given up using a cane but walking gingerly. On Feb. 19, 2008, Wayne received a Modern Pioneer Award from the Cotton Mission Chapter of the Sons of Utah Pioneers, for contributions to his profession and the SUP. His most recent book, "The 7 Secrets of Successful, Happy People" (Marquette Books, Spokane, Washington, 2008), is just being distributed.

1964
Roger D. Priest, B.A. (M.A. 1969), is Chair and Assistant Professor in the Communication Program at the Lafayette campus of Ivy Tech. He continues to teach and evolve a consumer-based Mass Communication course utilizing his 42 years in broadcasting, as well as other current and past professions, plus multi-media and class broadcast monitoring/analysis.

Glenda Jane Boling, B.A., was named the 2007 winner of the Association of Community College Trustees William A. Meardy Award. The Meardy winner is the national community college instructor of the year. The ACCT represents 1,600 community colleges in the U.S.and Canada. Glenda is a Communication Professor at Danville Area Community College in Danville, Ill.

Lucy Ackerman, B.A., is a partner and Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Indigo Labs, a contract manufacturing company for liquid supplements in Oceanside, CA.

James Scott, B.A., retired as President, Plumbing Products Division, Elkay Manufacturing Company as of 1/1/08. He continues to work as business advisor and consultant to mid-sized privately held and family-owned businesses.

Doug Logan  

Doug Logan, B.A., is the Director of Time Warner Sports in Syracuse, NY.  He was recently elected into the Greater Syracuse Sports Hall of Fame and, this May, will receive a National Boys and Girls Clubs' Champion for Children Award.

James T. Adams, B.A., has been at Medtronic for 27 years.

Martin N. Freedman. Ph.D., recently retired from Johnson & Johnson as Dean, School of Personal & Professional Development (world-wide training and development organization). He is currently part-time consulting and part-time golfing.

1977
Sharon (Smalley) Williams, B.A., has been employed at Purdue University for 27 years. She is the Manager of Employee Relations in Human Resource Services. She has two daughters, one who is a sophomore at Purdue.

Davidia Berry (Arington) Depowski, B.A., has been the General Manager of Century 21 Curran & Christie in Dearborn Heights, Mich., since 1996. She received an award for the #1 Office in sales in the Great Lakes Region in 2007. Depowski, who began her real estate career in 1977 with Century 21 Mennen in Lafayette, Ind., and managed the West Lafayette branch from 1982-85, just celebrated her 30th year with the Century 21 Organization. She is married to Mark and has two adult sons, Daniel and Matthew (Purdue Alum 2006-BS School of Technology-Aviation Management).

Jim Sharvin  

Jim Sharvin, B.A., has been hired by NSBN LLP, a Beverly Hills-based CPA and business consulting firm, as Manager.  Sharvin was previously Partner with Sharvin & Associates in Columbus, Ohio.  Sharvin will be serving his clients in both Los Angeles & Columbus. 

1980
David Andrew Lloyd, B.A., has sold or optioned several screenplays, including a recent deal with Fox / Searchlight.  Although he usually writes comedy (because that's all he can take seriously), his horror film Sewn, written with Mark Garbett, is slated for production in early February.  His short comedy, Grave-Tech: The Ultimate Opportunity, played at the DGA in 2006 as part of Visionfest for the Filmmakers Alliance, and can be viewed on his website www.weknowfunny.com [click "Videos"]. 

Scott Ross, B.A., after 9+ years as Senior Editor and Managing Editor of DRIVE! magazine, Concord, Calif., Scott became Associate Editor of Source Interlink Media's Corvette Fever and Mopar Muscle magazines, where he writes cover stories, feature stories and other items for both automotive-enthusiast magazines.

Robert E. Denton Jr., Ph.D., is co-author (with Jim Kuypers) of a new comprehensive textbook on political communication titled "Politics and Communication in America: Campaigns, Media, and Governing in the 21st Century" (Waveland Press, 2008). The text synthesizes materials and sources from political science, communication, history, journalism, and sociology.

1981
Bill Ennis, B.A., just completed his 6th year producing the "Ms. Fitness USA" and "Ms. Fitness World" television shows for Fox Sports. The "Ms. Fitness World" show aired nationally on FSN on New Year's Day.

Angie Klink, B.A., the second printing of her lift-the-flap children's book "Purdue Pete Finds His Hammer" was recently released with the new addition of the Golden Girl. The second edition contains the same popular rhyming verse and boldly illustrated campus landmarks as the first. The Golden Girl was added as an updated feature on the page with the World's Largest Drum. The verse also includes a mention of the popular Purdue baton twirler. "Purdue Pete Finds His Hammer" was first released in 2005. The book is written for children ages 8 years and younger and is available at bookstores, spirit shops and gift shops across Indiana and at www.mascotsforkids.com.

Wendy Lienhart  

Wendy Levi Lienhart, B.A., continues to work as a freelance PR consultant. She resides in Clarendon Hills, Ill., with her husband Parker, an executive at ad agency Leo Burnett, and their children Banistre, 11, Cooper, 9 and Peyton, 8. "When not busy consulting, I'm happy to be at home with our children who are all competitive swimmers. Banistre is a 2007 state champion."

1983
Karen A. (Paonessa) Cameron, M.S., retired July 2007 after a successful 30-year career with General Motors Corp. She held management positions in both Communication and in Marketing. Her last position with the company was Dean of Sales & Marketing College at General Motors University. She is looking forward to spending more time with her two girls (now 12 & 14), playing tennis and doing yoga. She is currently starting a marketing communication business serving small business owners and can be reached at Karen@JustWrite4Business.com

Bradford P. Anderson, B.A., an attorney and Law Lecturer in Graduate Business Programs at California Polytechnic State University (San Luis Obispo, CA), was recently published in the University of California at Davis Business Law Journal. His article, "Complete Harmony or Mere Détente? Shielding California Employees from Non-Competition Covenants"

Vincent Sampugnaro, M.S., recently accepted a position as Senior Vice President Human Resources at the March of Dimes, National Office, in White Plains, NY.

Jerry Renkenberger, B.A., recently became an independent media producer and communication consultant. He is currently working on branding and business communication. Primary customers are in real estate and new businesses.

Johnny O'Connor, B.A., son Liam John Hays O'Connor was born November 2006. He married Jennifer Jacqueline Hays in 2007. He is the Practice Administrator, Five Valleys Urology, PLLP in Missoula, Montana. He also serves on the board of the Friends of Fort Missoula Regional Park, and the Montana Medical GroupVP of the Board - Missoula International School President - Montana Medical Group Management Association President - Missoula Ultimate Association Ultimate Frisbee team, Mental Toss Flycoons, placed 9th at the 2007 UPA Championships.

Greg B. Donnelly, B.A., has been named to the Morgan Stanley's President's Club for the third time. Greg is a Senior Vice President with Morgan Stanley and has been a Wealth Advisor for 23 years.

1986
Jeff Atwood, B.A., and his wife Annette have started a new gift and art business. Show Offs Art now has products in about 100 stores across the country. Jeff also continues to write and produce children's books and related products for many publishers. Kimberly Brown-Staton, B.A., is a Project Analyst at Blue Cross Blue Shield (HCSC) in Chicago.

Peter J. Oleshchuk, B.A., his company Prairie Radio, LLC (www.prairieradio.com) just launched its first online radio station at www.popradio.fm. The format, Pop Radio, is also being syndicated to terrestrial radio stations. Pop Radio features the "Best Variety of the 80, 90s and Now."

Anne Fliotsos, B.A., has a new book scheduled to come out in June, co-authored by Wendy Vierow: "American Women Stage Directors of the Twentieth Century," from University of Illinois Press. It presents a historical overview of female stage directors in the United States. This valuable reference tool focuses on 50 women who have made significant contributions to professional directing during the 20th century.

Monica C. Meenan, B.A., is now the General Manager of BusinessWeek TV, which is part of the McGraw-Hill Companies.

Lisa Mitrosky Patton, B.A., is currently a Set Medic/Location Manager in the Motion Picture Industry in Los Angeles, Calif. She has worked on such features as "My Favorite Martian," "S.W.A.T.," "Family Man," "Rush Hour 2," "Transformers" as well as many others. She has also worked on such television shows as "Arliss," "Judging Amy," "Entourage," "Invasion," "Journeyman," as well as many other shows. She is a member of four different unions, such as Screen Actors Guild, AFTRA, Teamsters Local 399 and now Set Medics Union Local 767. "I can honestly say that I was able to get a start in Hollywood, based on my knowledge and Telecommunication courses taken at Purdue!!!"

Holly Schroeder, B.A., as a professional actress, singer and writer, has been acting in commercials, theater and voice overs for 18 years. She's also a published writer of magazines, children's books, advertising and educational materials. She's lived and worked in Los Angeles, Chicago and the Twin Cities. Maria Naclerio Kaminski, B.A., for the past 14 years has lived in Steamboat Springs, Colo. She has been married for 14 years to Chris Kaminski (Purdue Delt). They have two sons, Christopher, 10, and Johnathon, 7. "We enjoy every aspect of our surroundings. Lots of skiing, hockey, hiking and camping."

Melissa Stephens (McCormick), B.A., is Sales & Marketing Manager at Professional Garage Door Systems Inc. in Plainfield, Ind.

Greg Stout, B.A., employed by Comcast for the past 17 years. Married to Dawn for almost 10 years. Has two children, Emma, 9 years old and Nikolas, 6 years old.

Hisham Elkhatib, B.A. (M.S., '93), married to Susan with three young children (9, 7, 4). They are raising them bilingual in Southern California. "Would love to hear from old classmates. I am discovering the potential for Wikis as a communication and development medium."

Jennifer Walsh, B.A., is currently a student in the Master of Arts in English program at Loyola Marymount University. Jennifer is also the Producing Director of the Black Dahlia Theatre, called one of "a dozen young American companies you need to know" by American Theatre Magazine and "Best Small Theatre" by Los Angeles Magazine. Her television and film credits include production and post-production work for CBS, ABC, FOX, MTV, MGM, Fox Movie Channel, Oxygen and Paramount Pictures/MTV Films. The Twelve, her first non-fiction book proposal, is represented by the Levine Greenberg Literary Agency.

Jacqueline Crymes Zeledon, B.A., received two honors in 2007 for her efforts as chair of King Advisory Inc., a nonprofit organization aimed at helping financially disadvantaged children prepare for the first day of school. King Advisory does this through its annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Back-to-School Festival. The Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors Black Caucus and the Milwaukee Alliance of Black School Educators recognized Jacqueline with their respective community service awards. As the primary fundraiser for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Back-to-School Festival, she secured funding to distribute backpacks filled with school supplies to more than 6,500 needy students. Over 18,000 people – the largest crowd ever – attended the event that featured games, music and food.

Christian Barnard, B.A., recently accepted the position of Executive Director of Strategy, Content, and Creative Services at AT&T.com and also moved from Chicago to Austin, Texas. He is married to a Purdue alum, Elizabeth Plaster, (Fine Arts), and they have 3 children, Hannah, Amelia, and Ethan.

Keith M. Hearit, Ph.D., was promoted to Professor, as well as named Dean of the Lee Honors College and Interim Vice Provost for Enrollment Management at Western Michigan University.

Latricia Reed Schuessler, (HAS PHOTO) B.A., and husband Ron welcomed their first child, a daughter, on Nov. 12, 2007.  Her name is Casey. She weighed 7 lbs., 8 oz. and was19.5 inches long.

1993
Jason Martin, M.A. (B.A. 1987), since his days at Purdue was a photographer at the Lafayette Journal & Courier, then moved to Boulder, Colo., and became a nurse and joined the Army Reserves. Married in 2003, moved to California to study at Stanford's School of Medicine Physician Assistant program. Graduated from Stanford 2006, currently working as a P.A. in emergency medicine in Mountain View, Calif. Honorably discharged from the Army 2007.

Majia Holmer Nadesan, Ph.D., her new book will be published in June, "Governmentality, Biopower, and Everyday Life," (Routledge Series in Social and Political Thought).

James Abraham, B.A., Warehouse-Lighting.com, a Purdue alumni owned and operated company, breaks the $1 million sales mark after one year in business. Company specializes in green lighting solutions for large facilities.

Zach Toback, B.A., recently promoted to Executive Director of Production and Operations, ABC News. He runs the day to day for "Good Morning America."

1995
Melanie Dellas Woodworth, 1995, B.A., added a second magazine to her company, Dellas Publications LLC. Dance San Diego magazine is for all forms of dance in San Diego County. Katherine Dorsett, B.A., is now working at CNN.com as a news producer. Based in Atlanta, she is producing live newcasts that stream on the Internet. She has been at CNN since August of 2000.

Stephanie N. Lewin, B.A., recently moved to London. She is working as an attorney with the Law Offices of Richard S. Goldstein and specializes in U.S. immigration, consular and nationality law. She is also co-President of the UK Panhellenic Association in London, a participant in the Spring new member program for the Junior League of London, and plays for the Fulham Belles, an 11-a-side women's football team: "We're not very good, but it is fun!"

Eugenia Yew-Yen Peck, M.S., is currently a Senior Manager of Client Services with the Ziment Group, a top-notch market research company specializing in pharmaceuticals and medical devices. She recently had a third baby, Chase Lee, 11 months, to join his older brother Troy Lee, 6 and a half, and sister Arial Lee, 3.

Ellen Chang, B.A., is busy building her editorial business. She writes journalistic articles about the oil/gas/energy service sector for clients including Oil and Gas Investor Magazine and covers mergers and acquisitions for MergerMarket. She also writes about economic development and companies expanding internationally.

Darla Williams, Ph.D., is a Medical Education Manager with Zimmer Inc. in Warsaw, Ind.

Kevin Leamon, B.A., graduated in May 2007 from Purdue's Krannert School of Management with an Executive MBA. Currently, he is Director of Account Management in the Communications division at Horace Mann - a multi-line insurance and financial services company that markets to educators. Horace Mann is located in Springfield, Ill., and he's been with the company for over five years.

Jennifer (Wille) Peterson, B.A., (M.A., 1997), and husband and son welcomed Lillian Grace Peterson on October 16, 2007. Jennifer is finishing the second year of a $139,244 grant for a project titled, "Families coping with HIV: The impact of a mother’s HIV infection" from the Research Growth Initiative, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Katie McCaskey, B.A., is Content Strategy Director for Boston-area "social-finance" site Geezeo.com. Terry Savage of the Chicago Sun Times says, "The next generation of personal finance has arrived, and it's called 'Geezeo.'" She continues her design and writing work at BeeCre8tive.com, based in New York City, and purchased her first home in historic Staunton, Va.

Carrie Grzych Sessine, B.A., and her husband Jeff (MS 2000) and children have moved to Washington, D.C. She'll continue her career as an independent public relations consultant. Feel free to write at csessine@msn.com.

Heather K. Webb, B.A., and her husband Brad Tribble welcomed a baby girl, Amelia Anne Tribble, on August 9, 2007.  Dr. Webb was also published in the summer 2007 edition of the Journal of College and University Housing.  She is currently Director of Judicial Affairs at Eastern Illinois University.

Staci Vice, B.A., lives in Los Angeles and is a member of the Motion Picture Editor's Guild. Her previous work experience includes "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and MGM Mirage.

Justin Grove, B.A., was selected to serve on special detail at the U.S. Department of Treasury. In this role, Grove provides advice to Treasury officals regarding current economic issues. Grove also coordinates the Presidents Advisory Council on Financial Literacy, which was announced by President Bush on January 22, 2008. The council will focus on expanding American's access to financial services and increasing financial education for youth in school and for adults in the workplace. Prior to his job at the Treasury, Grove served as a White House appointee at the National Credit Union Administration NCUA and as an Associate Director of Presidential Correspondence in the White House.

Amber Kinser, Ph.D., an Associate Professor at East Tennessee State University, has been invited by Seal Press to write a book tentatively titled "Motherhood and Feminism" to be released spring of 2010. Her book "Mothering in the Third Wave" will be released by Demeter Press this April.

Jennifer Rotz Whittington, B.A., is currently HR Manager at Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis, and her husband, Ben, (1998 - Bachelor of Pharmacy)were expecting their second child at the end of January 2008. They already have one child, Abigail, who is four.

Frederic A Beck (Rick), B.A., has just accepted a new position with Easi-Set Industries as their new National Sales Manager - SlenderWall. This position allows him to travel the country to promote the sales and service of the SlenderWall product. Meanwhile, his family has grown to include a second son, born on December 2, 2006.

Kim (Wilson) Preston, B.A., just returned to Indianapolis from Washington, D.C. where Preston was working for U.S. Sen. Dick Lugar. Preston is now serving as the Director of Workforce and Education Initiatives in Mayor Greg Ballard's Office.

1999
Denise P. Ferguson, Ph.D., is chair of the Communication Arts Department and Associate Professor of Journalism and Public Relations at Indiana Wesleyan University, in Marion, Ind. She also was installed as Chair of the nearly 500-member Public Relations Division of the nearly 9,000 member National Communication Association, the most prominent association in the discipline.

Stephanie Anderson, B.A., and husband Peter recently opened up their own restaurant. It is called Gelsosomo’s Pizzeria and is located on Broadway in Crown Point, Ind. The full service restaurant offers pizza, pasta, burgers, ribs, wings, appetizers, beer and wine; seats about 240 people; and offers banquet facilities for 60. It is a local chain and they are now the 6th Gelsosomo’s to open in Northwest Indiana and Southwest Michigan. "We are so thrilled and proud to have gotten the doors open. It was a long time dream for my husband and my PR skills have come in handy."

Angi Taylor, B.A., is the first Associate Managing Director of the new Jaradoa Theater company in New York City (www.jaradoatheater.org). Jaradoa is a theater company comprised of Broadway artists committed to serving through performance. The first production, Serenade, was written by Tony winner Rachel Sheinkin (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) and was performed in December 2007.

2000
Lindsey (Seward) Trausch, B.A., recently named the Marketing Director for the Carolinas and Tennessee for Marsh Inc., a large insurance brokerage and risk management firm.

W. Matthew Oates, B.A., recently was named to the Top 10 Young Professionals Under 40 by the Lafayette/West Lafayette Development Corp./Chamber of Commerce's TippeConnect group. Also received the 2007 Rising Star award from the North Central Advertising Federation of Indiana at the local ADDYs in February 2008.

Megan Kearns, B.A., and husband Tim Kearns (who is also a 2000 graduate of Purdue with a degree in Economics) welcomed their first child to their family. Evan Timothy Kearns was born on January 27, 2008, at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates, Ill. He weighed 8 lbs., 5 oz. and measured 22 inches long.

2001
Matt Holsapple, B.A., recently received a master's degree from Purdue in College Student Affairs. He is enrolled in the doctoral program in Higher Education at the University of Michigan's Center for the Study of Higher and Post-Secondary Education.

Willam Bettler, Ph.D., received promotion and tenure to Associate Professor of Communication at Hanover College in Fall 2007. Recently he has been teaching a course called “Persuasive Communication” that owes a great debt to his "teaching mentor" Charles Stewart.  This May he will travel to Vietnam with a group of Hanover students to team-teach an interdisciplinary course on the history and popular culture perceptions of the Vietnam War.

Jennifer Slawson, B.A., will graduate in June 2008 with her MBA from Kellogg School of Management and will be working as a product manager for Amazon.com in Seattle.

2002

Ryan Kring  

Ryan Kring, B.A., in March of 2007 joined US Signcrafters.  They are a regional sign company located in the heart of the Michiana (Northern Indiana) area.  He serves as sales and project management.

"My Purdue education and the experiences I learned laid the foundation for me to be able to enter the marketplace and move up in my career. Without a doubt my advanced public speaking coursework was the best education I received that applies to my industry."

Patrick "Sarge" Murray, B.A., is now an instructor at National College in Louisville, Ky.; he teaches Business, Geography, History and English.

Teresa Smiley, B.A., has joined the Peace Corps and will be serving as a volunteer in Moldova in Eastern Europe for the next two years. Teresa will be working with non-profit organizations to help them maximize the resources in their communities.

Kayur Patel, B.A., is living in Johannesburg, South Africa and is currently in the textiles manufacturing sector. He and his wife are expecting their first child in August 2008.

2003

Valerie Morrison  

Randi Rayburn McElroy Morrison, B.A., and husband John Brent Morrison welcomed daughter Valerie Elise Morrison on Feb. 15.

Corrie Bennett (Whitesel), B.A., after spending 2 years as a press secretary for the Indiana House of Representatives, Corrie accepted a position as an assistant account manager with Bandy Carroll Hellige Public Relations.

2004

Tiffany Stochel  

Tiffany Stochel, B.A., joined Coles Marketing Communications, a full-service public relations and communication agency, in March 2007 as a public relations and marketing assistant. She also volunteers with the Indianapolis Civic Theater and recently performed as a member of the cast of “42nd Street” at Marian College.

Kristen Oliver, B.A., works for the Nashville Symphony in Tennessee and has just been promoted to Director of Patron Services. She has been with the Symphony since July of 2005. Her previous position was VIP Patron Services Associate.

Clare (Walters) Briner, B.A., began a new job in January 2008 as a marketing communication specialist for University of St. Francis, Joliet, Ill.

Jennifer Lauren Allen, B.A., got engaged to Kevin Stuber ,who is also a graduate of Purdue University Krannert School of Business 2004!

Kori Kamradt, B.A., is an assistant editor for Floral Management magazine at the Society of American Florists in Alexandria, Va.

Jena Sturgis, B.A., just moved to New York, and now works as an associate producer/writer for the Fox Report with Shepard Smith (#1 in its slot). "It's been my favorite show since college, so this is absolutely my dream job. I love the resources, the graphics, the pace and mood of the show." Previously, she lived in Cincinnati and worked as a news producer (line producer) for the NBC affiliate.

Michelle Sutton, B.A., is currently wrapping up 2 and a half years in the Peace Corps. She's training teachers in different teaching methodologies and behavior management strategies for special education in the Dominican Republic.She'll be heading back to the USA in September and job searching or looking for graduate school opportunities in service learning.

Samantha Sok, B.A., is a public relations account executive at Schwartz Communications Inc.

2005
Julie Baker, B.A., moved to Crown Point, Ind., and is marrying Chris Bair in June. He is a fellow graduate from Purdue in 2004.

Scott Sauter, B.A., started a new job last summer as an underwriter for AIG Private Client Group. He also was scheduled to get married on April 19!

Sara Gandy, B.A., was honored by her station, KUSA-TV in Denver, Colo., as the Employee of the Year in 2007. She's been a Web Producer with the NBC affiliate since April of 2006. She looks forward to covering the upcoming Denver-based Democratic National Convention online with their site, 9News.com.

Amanda Morrone, B.A., is now at the Northwestern University School of Law.

Marisa Ellsworth Gift, M.A., is in her second year as an Academic Advisor in the First Year of Studies at the University of Notre Dame. She has created and taught a three-credit communication skills course for first-year students at ND. She was also married in June of 2007 back in her beloved Iowa!

Dorella (Dori) Marie Powell, B.A., was married on Nov. 24 to Matthew Caras.  Dori is working on a Master's of Business Administration degree at the University of Indianapolis and works full-time at Farm Bureau in Indianapolis. Her husband is a member of the Indiana National Guard and an IUPUI student.

Lori Brady, B.A., is engaged. Her fiance (another Purdue grad - EE) and she plan to get married on Aug. 9 in Carmel, Ind.

Stephanie Seifert, M.A., got married on May 12, 2007, to Michael Stringham, a former Purdue Health Physics Ph.D. student. She is employed at Eli Lilly in Indianapolis as an editor.

Julie Truesdell, B.A., is pursuing her Master's degree in Anthropology and Women's Studies at Purdue University.

Amber Scott, B.A., recently accepted a position as the Public Relations Coordinator for ITR Concession Co. LLC, which manages the Indiana Toll Road. The company is located in Granger, Ind.

Matt Housemeyer  

Matt Housemeyer, B.A., recently joined ESPN at its worldwide headquarters in Bristol, Connecticut. Matt is an Operations Technician specializing in Video Editing for the numerous ESPN networks. Matt’s video editing work has appeared on SportsCenter, ESPN News, and more. Matt is a fourth generation graduate of Purdue University. He is the son of Doug & Diane (Sawin) Housemeyer (HSSE ’79) of Carmel, Ind.

Min Jiang, Ph.D., is enjoying everything her new job at UNC-Charlotte has to offer! "However, I do miss Purdue and everybody in the department. Like everyone else, I look forward to our basketball team's ascendence in the Big Ten. Go Boilers!"

Kristen Sutherland, B.S., has been promoted to Event Coordinator at the International Society for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect, a non-profit organization in West Chicago, Ill. She will be organizing conferences and congresses around the world for professionals working in child maltreatment.

Jacqueline Hills, B.A., is currently working toward her Master's in Sport Administration at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. She has a Graduate Assistantship in Development with the Athletic Department, and is focusing on her graduate project surrounding the effects of an Olympic Boycott on the slated athletes. The department just finished an inaugural event for Bowling Green, National Girls and Women in Sports Day. They invited back women's letterwinners from 18 varsity sports to see new facilities, a reception at the President's home, and halftime recognition at a Falcon Women’s Basketball Game. In addition to inviting back letterwinners, they reached out to local schools to come watch the Falcon Women's Basketball Team for $1.00.

Whitney Jansta  

Whitney Jansta, B.A., on June 30, 2007, married another Purdue alum, John Jansta, (May, 2007, B.S. Industrial Engineering) at Christ Church Cathedral in Indianapolis. They took the BoilerMaker Special to their reception at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis.  They currently reside in Pensacola, Fla., where John is undergoing Strike Navigator Training with the United States Air Force.

Stephanie (Ruiz/Rogge) Dasbach, B.A., has been working at an Indianapolis-based software development company, Interactive Intelligence, in the Corporate Marketing department. She was recently promoted to supervise the lead generation team. "It's an amazing company and I owe my early success in the company to the well rounded education I received from my instructors in the Communication department at Purdue. Once a Boilermaker, always a Boilermaker!"
