1971 Tom McPhail, Ph.D., a professor in the Department of Communication at Missouri-St. Louis, has become a media critic, using his expertise in international communication. Since the start of the war in Iraq, he has been quoted in USA Today, the Chicago Tribune, by The Associated Press in an article carried by 50 newspapers, the Newhouse newspapers, on NPR, and on several Web sites covering global media. 1984 Paul Hawkins, B.A., founded Bullfeathers, a new greeting card company headquartered in Mount Vernon, Ohio. 1990 Amy Dirks Stevens, B.A., is executive director of strategic relations at HCA's Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She is outgoing chair of the Issue Management Council and a previous recipient of the Chase Award for Issue Management. 1991 Mark Leslie, B.A., sales and marketing representative for Greenbush Industries in Lafayette.
