Artist Statement
Betty FairbankConsidering the kind of photography I do, i.e., quite straight-forward scenes in nature, close-up of flowers, rocks and natural things, and candid shots of people in available light, I don't really choose the palette, but simply use what color is there, manipulating self and camera in respect to light and/or filters either on camera or in enlarger...I shoot in color because my immediate world is so infinitely beautiful.
