Achieve Your Goals
We understand that everyone exercises for different reasons and has different goals. That’s why when you first become a member of the Ismail Center, we will perform your individual health and fitness assessment.
The cornerstone of your personal fitness program, this preactivity screening will help us to identify your fitness level and any medical conditions or risk factors.
Once your initial and totally confidential health and fitness assessment is complete, we will sit down with you and custom design a personalized exercise program.
More importantly, we listen to you, to make sure you achieve your fitness goals. We understand that the path to your achievement lies within you.
And we at the Ismail Center what to help you every step of the way towards realizing your health and fitness goals.
State-of-the-Art Facilities and Staff
The facilities and equipment at the Ismail Center are among the nations finest for any university adult fitness program. From the Big Ten caliber Lambert Indoor Track to the modern cardiovascular equipment, we find pride in providing you with a clean, modern and user friendly environment. It is our sincere desire to provide you with all the tools to help you reach your fitness goals.
The Ismail Center is supervised by Fitness Facility Managers who are students in Health and Fitness, Health Promotion, or Nutrition related majors studying towards a degree. They are all certified in First Aid, CPR, and use of the AED (Automated External Defibrillator).
The Ismail Center is located on the Ground Floor of Lambert. This 2000 square foot facility includes:
- Trotter 710T treadmills
- Tectrix recumbent and upright cycles
- Tectrix Climbmax stair climbers
- Concept II rowing machines
- Precor EFX 544, 546 and 556 elliptical machines
- Cybex VR2 selectorized resistance machines (15 pieces)
- Dumbbells
- temperature control of 68-70°
- 4 televisions and 1 radio station, audible with use of your personal headphones connected to select cardio pieces
- Indoor Track in Lambert, M-F 6 a.m.-3:20 p.m. ONLY
- Boilermarker Aquatic Center, M-F 5:30a.m.-1:30 p.m. If interested in the Aquatic Center, please see staff to get an I.D. or have your current I.D. validated.
