Program Description

The goal of this study abroad program will be for participants to feel the pulse of present-day Russian life and the workings of Russian society.  The three-week-in-country program is designed to provide the students with a structured opportunity to learn about contemporary social and economic changes, as well as cultural developments currently taking place in Russia.

Academic Component

The academic part of the program, in addition to 2 hours of classes per day followed by cultural excursions, will include informal interaction with Russian students, meetings and discussions with officials, legislators, and representatives from the Russian and international business community.  These various activities will provide the students with an opportunity to get first-hand knowledge of what is currently happening in Russia in areas of public and corporate life.  Instruction in Russia will be conducted in English by local Russian educators, as well as Purdue faculty accompanying the students on the program.
