Lambda Pi Eta
Lambda Pi Eta is a national communication honor society.  Its mission is to encourage and reward scholastic excellence in communication, as well as to promote professional development and discourse.  Membership requirements are: 45+ semester hours of undergraduate credits, minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 scale, and a minimum GPA of 3.25/4.0 scale in courses applied toward the communication major/concentration

WICI, a national communications organization open to men & women, delivers the programs, products, services and contacts you will need to compete in today's tough job market.  As the only organization that encompasses all fields of communications, WICI can help you tap into career opportunities through monthly meetings, site field trips, and workshops in advertising, print & broadcast journalism, public relations, human relations and technical communication.

Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA)
PRSSA is a national organization that offers practical, hands-on experience in real-life situations by sponsoring events and public relations campaigns.  One event the group sponsors is Communication Day.  This all-day workshop in February offers students a chance to learn the latest tips from the best PR representatives in the business and a chance to participate in a job fair.

Boiler Communication
Students can participate in a student-run PR firm.  Clients include organizations in the Lafayette and Indiana area.  Some previous clients have included: Red Cross, Ronald McDonald House, high school robotics, and small start-up firms.  Membership is by application.

Petticrew Debate Forum
Established through an endowment by C. Richard Petticrew, a 1936 Purdue graduate in chemical engineering, the Petticrew Forum provides all Purdue students with opportunities to develop their speaking skills through workshops, individual coaching, and contests on the Purdue campus and at other Midwestern universities and national competitions in speech and debate events.

American Advertising Federation (AAF)
An organization designed to give students, regardless of major, hands-on experience in the advertising profession.  AAF is the oldest national advertising trade association and acts as the “unifying voice for advertising”.  Work involves preparing advertising campaigns from the beginning stages of research all the way through to final implementation and evaluation.  Current projects include a national campaign for a corporate sponsor.
